Share Your Expertise, Shape the Future

Our volunteer partners and leaders enrich every function of AOTF. Throughout the year, we work with volunteers from all areas of occupational therapy, healthcare, and the public to deliver the programs you have come to rely on. Through diverse and interesting committee and task force opportunities, dozens of volunteers donate their time and talent to advance occupational therapy research, education, and leadership.

Become a Committee Member

As of January 2026, the following committees have openings: Audit, Investment, and Scholarship Selection Committee. A two-year commitment is preferred; a one-year minimum is required.

Become a Reviewer or Mentor

As of January 2026, the following committees have openings: Audit, Investment, and Scholarship Selection Committee. A two-year commitment is preferred; a one-year minimum is required.

Read, review, and score applications for AOTF Scholarships. A two-year commitment is preferred; a one-year minimum is required. The bulk of active committee work typically takes place between February and March annually.

Review grants, doctoral scholarships, postdoctoral fellowships, and other funding applications. An approximate two-month commitment is required, with periods between November and February and between February and May.

Create individualized development plans that guide the mentee through a research experience during the funding award period—approximately an eight-month commitment, typically from August to March.
