Satvika Garg, PhD, OTR/L

Dr. Satvika Garg serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. She oversees the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of the Foundation’s scientific and research programs. She ensures fiscal and programmatic accountability for these programs and serves on the Foundation’s leadership team, advising the CEO. Additionally, Dr. Garg monitors the external environment to identify research priorities and opportunities that can build research capacity and advance the science of occupational therapy.

Before joining AOTF as Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Garg held positions as an occupational therapist and research collaborator at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and as an Adjunct Faculty Member at New York University (NYU). She earned her PhD in occupational therapy from New York University and her Master of Science in occupational therapy from Tufts University.
