OTJR Achieves Highest Impact Factor Ever!

AOTF’s journal, OTJR: Occupation, Participation and Health, has achieved its highest impact factor ever of 1.768 for 2020.  This growth represents contributions of quality data-driven research from authors and the rigorous processes of OTJR‘s Past and Current Editor-in-Chiefs (Sherrilene Classen, PhD, MPH, OTR/L, FAOTA, FGSA and Timothy Wolf, OTD, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA), Assistant Editor (Melissa Knott, MSc(OT), OT Reg (Ont.), CCLCP), Associate Editors, Editorial Fellows, Review Board Members, and SAGE Publishing Partners.

 OTJR has steadily raised its impact factor from 2016 – 0.795, 2017 – 1.000, 2018 – 1.234 and 2019 – 1.220. The Journal Impact Factor is calculated by adding the citations in 2020 from articles published in 2018 (52 citations) and citations in 2020 from items published in 2019 (47 citations) and dividing that total (99 citations) by the sum of the numbers of citable items in 2018 (27) and 2019 (29). The 5-year Impact Factor is 2.693. OTJR is ranked 46/74 in the “Rehabilitation (SSCI)” category. With the 2020 Impact Factor, Clarivate has introduced Early Access content in Journal Citation Reports to more accurately reflect the dynamic citation environment of rapid online publication, phasing in further changes over three years.
