Foundation Gala to Feature Latin Dancing "Stars"

Bethesda, Maryland - The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) will host its Annual Gala on Friday evening, April 30, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cuba Libre Restaurant in Orlando, Florida.  Each year the AOTF hosts a gala in conjunction with the American Occupational Therapy Association's Annual Conference and Exposition, which will be held from April 29 - May 2.
 
This year's gala, called "Havana Nights" will feature a Latin "Dancing with the Stars" style competition involving well-known personalities from occupational therapy.  Winners will be determined by popular vote based on contributions raised by each couple to support research, scholarships and fellowship programs of the Foundation.
 
Tickets can be purchasd under the special events section of the AOTA Conference Registration Form.  Each attendee will be able to designate the tax-deductible portionof their ticket price toward support for one or more of the contestants.  Additional contestant support can be done through gifts and pledges at the event.
 
The American Occupational Therapy Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) charitable, scientific and educational organization established in 1965.  Its mission is to advance research, education, and leadership in the field of occupational therapy and to raise public awareness of the importance of enabling individuals to participate fully in life regardless of their physical, social, mental, or developmental circumstances.
