AOTF Announces Institute Director Search

Bethesda, Maryland – The American Occupational Therapy Foundation announced that it is requesting applications for the position of Director of the Institute for the Study of Occupation and Health. This full time position will provide important leadership to the Institute as it embarks on its second decade of operation as AOTF's organizational home for programs in research, education and public awareness. An Institute Search Committee will begin reviewing applications on January 3, 2011 and the position will be filled as soon thereafter as possible. In announcing the search, Dr. Charles Christiansen, Executive Director, commented that, "The Institute Director plays a significant role in the leadership of programmatic activities related to research and education. This is an exciting and important time in the evolution of the Foundation, and we look forward to appointing a highly qualified leader to this post early in the new year.”
The American Occupational Therapy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable, scientific and educational organization established in 1965. Its mission is to advance research, education, and leadership in the field of occupational therapy and to raise public awareness of the importance of enabling individuals to participate fully in life regardless of their physical, social, mental, or developmental circumstances.
