Promoting Integrity in the Next Generation of Researchers:
A Curriculum for Responsible Conduct of Research in Occupational Therapy

The AOTF and AOTA are pleased to offer Promoting Integrity in the Next Generation of Researchers: A Curriculum for Responsible Conduct of Research in Occupational Therapy. This federally-funded project uses readings, lectures, and case studies to encourage responsible design, conduct, management, dissemination, and review of research. The curriculum can be used as an independent assignment, classroom presentation, discussion, or a combination of these options. It is designed for occupational therapy graduate students, clinicians, researchers, and faculty.

The written portion of the curriculum consists of student readings and case studies with questions for students and points to help faculty facilitate student discussions in MS Word and Adobe formats.

Part 1 of the curriculum covers: Protection of Human Subjects, Data Management, Conflicts of Interest, Peer Review, and Collaborative Science in doc or pdf format.

Part 2 covers: Authorship, Publication Issues, Mentorship, Fiscal Responsibility and Research Misconduct and Whistle blowing in doc or pdf format).

Users are welcome to edit and adapt all Word and PowerPoint materials, with appropriate source citation.
