Exploring
the Relationship Between Occupation and Health
Resources of the
American Occupational Therapy Foundation enable the work of
the Institute to address relevant trends and societal issues,
disseminate scientific evidence about the relationship between
occupation and health, and encourage the timely transition
to graduate education in occupational therapy.
The Institute for
the Study of Occupation and Health supports graduate education
and research, and promotes broad understanding of the impact
of occupation on the health of individuals, families and communities.

at the University of Illinois at Chicago, developing outcomes
studies and generating evidence upon which to base effective
practice.
Resources for faculty, including
workshops on curriculum revision and a new monograph, Research
Across the Curriculum: A Guide for Occupational Therapy
Educators.
A Task Force on Occupation in Societal Crises, created to
link the occupational therapy perspective with societal
networks that help people manage stress and create a healthy
balance through meaningful occupation.
The Wilma L. West Library, the
national repository for the professions literature and informational
resources.
