Sharon G. Ryan, MA, OTR

Sharon Ryan earned her degree in Occupational Therapy at Sargent College of Allied Health Professions at Boston University. Her professional practice concentrated on adult and geriatric education and involved supervision of advanced students completing occupational therapy internships. Ms. Ryan was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation in November 2002, for a three-year term. She was elected Vice President in 2004 and re-elected to the position in 2007.
Ms. Ryan has an extensive and distinguished history of volunteer work and community service that includes leadership positions in support of children with disabilities, public and private education at all levels, social agencies servicing the needs of families and children, and support for the arts, including theatre and music. Currently, she is chair of the Student Affairs committee of the Boston University Board of Trustees. Ms. Ryan resides with her husband Bob in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
